Challenge

Payments can take up a huge amount of time for guests and staff. TOC Hostel&Suites wanted to offer guests the flexibility of multiple payment options while ensuring the highest levels of security.

Solution

Mews Payments prioritizes industry-leading security for each transaction and ease of use for staff and guests. In addition to PCI DSS and PSD2 compliance, the system allows card pre-authorization to ensure guests have sufficient funds before arrival. Though guests can easily pay by card using the Mews Terminal, payments can also be processed pre-arrival or post-departure. Automation is a huge time saver and eliminates the need to print receipts. TOC Hostel&Suites also welcomes alternative payment methods such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

As part of Mews Guest Journey, Mews Online Check-in allows guests to complete check-in on their phones or laptops, saving time for onsite staff. The process is fast and simple – guests receive an email with a link to the online check-in journey ahead of their arrival. This lets TOC Hostel&Suites capture the true email addresses of guests who have booked through a third party and increase the booking value through upsells.Frictionless check-in has had a huge impacton the guest experience, making it more personalized and satisfying.

Email and last name are the only mandatory fields needed to complete a reservation. TOC Hostel&Suites created a cohesive user journey by adding unique imagery to each property’s booking engine. Promotional rates and special offers are also supported, while add-ons such as breakfast and late check-out can be selected with a single click, easily generating extra revenue.
